The Clients brief was to extend their 1920's federation home with a contemporary open plan space to accomodate a young family.

Extension to the rear of an 1800s heritage listed cottage, that adds a new living and utility area as well as a courtyard. By removing as little as possible of the existing building and then restoring what was already there, the new spaces could be delicately hinged of the existing house.
